We decided to bring one monster each and use them as travel pillows for the trip. Joy decided to bring Globert and Repo decided on Peeps. The flight from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Santiago, Chile was 15 hours long, so needless to say, they really came in handy. Although, we did get a few curious looks at the airport.

The monsters waited patiently in our hostel as we explored all over the island. We had lots of fun horseback riding, eating at great restaurants, spelunking, hiking and so much more!

The monsters kept us company during our entire trip and on our last day, we decided that Peeps would be staying on the island for good. We left him behind as a present for the girl who ran our hostel. She was fantastic and she fell in love with Peeps during our stay. Globert made it back to Santiago, Chile with us, but then in the airport on our way home, a little girl broke loose from her grandmother’s grip and ran straight across the airport with arms outstretched toward Globert. She stared at him for a while and then picked him up and squeezed him tightly and ran back to her grandmother with Globert in tow. With the coaxing of her grandmother, she returned him to us apprehensively. So, of course, we both agreed that she should be the new owner of Globert. His name is Spanish is Globerto!

The monsters are still going strong and Eatsy seems to be working well, especially for this little girl.

We survived the Easter rush and our next big show will be the We Love Our Kids! Expo in June. The expo will take place at Exhibition Park on June 19th-20th. Last year was a lot of fun and this year should be a great time. Their website is www.familyexpo.ca. Thanks to everyone for their ongoing support.

Now that the huge rush is over, we are taking our time and planning for the new year. We are cuddled up in our cozy workshop creating a stockpile of monsters. We also have a few fun ideas coming down the pipe, so stay tuned…

All orders that are not picked up or delivered in Halifax are shipped by Canada Post. If you want your monsters to arrive before Christmas, Canada Post recommends shipping packages on or before December 11th. Packages shipped after that date cannot be guaranteed unless they are shipped Xpresspost at extra cost. As always, we’ll do our best to make sure you get your monsters on time. Welcome to our brand new website!

It features a new look, a new, easier-to-use checkout and a blog where we can update fans on news about the team. In 2010, we plan to have more contests, limited-time special offers and we’ll be attending many shows and events, so check in regularly to see what were up to. This photo was sent to us by a happy customer and it really made our week. We love getting photos from fans (and don’t worry – we will always ask you before posting them on our website). The Christmas season is here again and we have been very busy taking orders and making monsters. If you are outside the Halifax area, make sure you place your order with enough time for us to ship it to your doorstep before Christmas.
